The plan covered my trip and paid when I had to cancel. Communication with the company was difficult. I used their online form to start the claim but then the site would never allow me to upload neccessary documents. When I asked for help with this I got no response. I had to attach and email everything and this was cumbersome. Several times I was told they needed the information again, sometimes as often as three times, which required more emails. I got the distinct impression they were trying to wear me down. However, eventually they did pay the claim. I was also surprised to find that they outsourced the claim to a third party. I did not deal with them directly.

I did not have to make any claims, but piece of mind, knowing I had. I had same plan in June 2023, and had to make claims, everything covered well. Is why I chose this plan again.

Although I needn't need to claim on the plan, it gave me peace of mind. I was confident that had I needed to file a claim, John Hancock would have been there taking care of me.
