The application form does not seem to allow one to come back and edit travel date changes. So my question is; if the initial insurance dates are specified and due to unforeseen circumstances, one leg of the journey has a date change, does that nullify insurance?

I purchased this plan for myself and my two sons I had wanted a father and son trip to Alaska for years and finally saved enough to buy us a nice trip and then I realized what if we crashed and burned? The focus on this purchase was accidental death and baggage protection it came with some other benefits none of which was used but seems very affordable compared to other companies and products . I appreciated the options and choices and was able to select the products I wanted for the price I could afford.

If dates change involuntarily after your effective date you have the following coverage:
"All coverages under the plan will be extended if your entire Covered Trip is covered by the plan and your return is delayed by unavoidable circumstances beyond your control.
If coverage is extended for the above reasons, coverage will end on the earlier of the date you reach your originally scheduled return destination or seven (7) days after the Scheduled Return Date.
In no event will coverage be extended due to voluntary reasons without prior consent from Travelex Insurance Services."
