While in Spain one of my wife's toes got infected. We arranged for a doctor to come to our hotel. After we returned to the U.S. and I filed a claim, Nationwide reimbursed us very promptly for the cost of the doctor's visit and the prescription. On the basis of this, I would definitely purchase another policy from the company.

I very much appreciate the fact that the policy included some coverage for medical and emergency dental care, since I am on Medicare and that does not cover services outside the US. However, I wish the coverage limits were higher, even as an option. Knowing what a hospitalization can cost even for "minor" accidents or short-term illnesses, I was nervous about the coverage limitations in the policy.
