USA Gold plan provided peace of mind. Coverage was good for an adventure trip to Africa. I'm fortunate none of us had to make a claim.

Because of the 18 month extended wait between booking our trip and leaving for it, we had to buy "cancel for any reason" insurance which is very expensive and does not provide 100% return of money.

Our trip insurance was complicated, involving a change of date, and insuring the tour component and then adding the airfare component. All my requests were handled courteously and efficiently by knowledgable agents. There was prompt follow up confirmation by email, and revised documentation.

While we did not file a claim, this appeared to be a great plan covering all the major potential problems at generous amounts for travel to a remote location and providing reasonable coverage for the smaller items. All at a very fair price. Will definitely purchase again, or perhaps purchase an annual policy.

Hard to evaluate since fortunately, we did not need to submit a claim. We selected this plan because it best met our needs. I think the expense may be somewhat influenced by our ages - nothing we can do about this.
