I am actually quite upset with this because I sent HTH an email inquiring whether I could get some non-urgent medical treatment as a part of my plan, and they never bothered to answer even though I received an automated email from them saying that they received my inquiry. I checked my spam box too to make sure I didn’t miss any emails from them. Very upsetting.

While working with providers HTH has already contracted with can make the process of getting care even easier, customers are not limited to using Providers within our network. One of the perks of HTH is that you can choose when and where to receive care. Our provider search can be accessed 24/4 through the member portal.Aug 10,2023

This plan offers a lengthy list of covered perils for Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption, which protects the investment you have made in the trip, and also provides reimbursement for incidents which could occur after departure, such as lost and/or delayed luggage, travel delay, and emergency hospitalization and medical transportation up to the policy limits.
Premiums for comprehensive policies are based largely on the length of the trip, the ages of the travelers, and the cost of the trip. A travel insurance policy is considered to be of good value when the policy premium is 4-10% of the insured trip cost. Thankfully we didn't have to use the insurance. What I particularly liked was the high amount of medical coverage ($25k) it offered. Our HMO only covers a trip to the emergency room or to urgent care if you're overseas. It cost more than some other policies out there, but it provided great peace of mind, just in case something sent one of us to the hospital.

Fortunately, we did not have any medical incidents during the insured trip so I can't comment on how the insurance companies performed; but I can give feedback on the experience of setting up the right plan with the InsureMyTrip team.
