I bought this plan for my daughter who was traveling overseas with my ex-wife and her husband. I wanted to cover myself from catastrophic expenses in the unlikely event of an accident or medical emergency. It gave me piece-of-mind. I first heard about this site from Clark Howard on his radio program. The trip went on without a hitch, so I had no claim.

I took a relaxing 22 day trip to Mexico in July. Fortunately, I never had to use my medical plan. Before leaving, I had a cordial phone conversation with a knowlegable agent re: terms & conditions of the policy I had purchased. My concerns & questions were clarified. Even though I have Travel Medical Insurance through my employer, the additional assurance of this plan made me, my friends & family feel safer & more secure while traveling solo. You totally want the plan that guarantees a medical evacuation back to the USA, should your condition warrant this.

I did not have to file a claim so I am not sure what would have happened in the event of wanting reimbursement, but I feel the coverage was good value.

well, I didn't use it to answer questions above so that's why i gave only 3 stars, maybe it should start with "did you have to use it?" and after send better questions that will help you with better feedback and not with the feedback that you want to hear. maybe for the next time it could offer a better price since I didn't use it this time.

Although, thankfully, not needed, the peace of mind having the extra insurance for my recent cruise was invaluable. Price was very reasonable and process very easy. Will use again and recommend.

Quick and easy, and very affordable. Highly recommended. I had a friend recently go on a trip and ended up needing to use a travel medical insurance for a sickness that he contracted since his traditional medical insurance would not cover it. This literally saved him hundreds of thousands of dollars. Worth the extra money to offset the huge potential financial risk you may take when leaving the country.

I didn't have to use it so I really don't know how great it is.

It is great to have coverage for medical evacuation, even though I did not have to use it. My cousin was critically injured in Mexico 2 years ago, without evacuation insurance. This was a terrible mess, and my family ALWAYS gets evac insurance since. I am so thankful that this is available. Thank you.

Bought the amount the coverage that the product stated it had. Hope it covered the important items and events It said it would cover. Fortunately we did not need it.
