Our trip was delayed due to weather, we missed our connection, stayed overnight at a hotel and missed a day of our prepaid travel package. We filed a claim with all required receipts and got full reimbursement. Really glad that we had the insurance!

We were covered for a cruise with a 2 hour flight from our hometown to/from the cruiseport. We were to fly in the morning of the cruise. The day before we were to leave, our flight was cancelled for the next morning due to predicted uber cold weather. The airline put us on a flight that evening, so we were forced to stay in a hotel near the cruiseport. The insurance covered the cost of the hotel. The thing I'd like to point out is that I'd purchased the insurance for the original date. The insurance company was able to think outside the box and cover our hotel, even though the date wasn't within the original time frame of the trip. Kudos to them! The claim took about a week to process once the company had my documentation. Refund is by check.

This is the first time I have had to use my insurance, so I was a little worried if I had the right documents and if the claim would be accepted. My flight was cancelled and rescheduled. I submitted a hotel receipt for the night and it was approved in less than 2 weeks. I am very pleased with the process. Travelex/Berkshire Hathaway had a form to fill out, along with my receipts, and all could be submitted by email. I contacted customer service to begin the claim and spoke with a knowledgeable rep.

I was very happy with Travelex travel basic plan. Once I submitted my documents, I received a check for the total amount allowed. My phone was lost on an international flight and I immediately called Travelex and my agent, Candace, worked on my case. My claim was approved and I was sent me a check within 3 weeks. Great service! I will use them again.

I had purchased travel insurance in the past but never had a reason to file a claim. This was the first time we were filing a claim for travel cancellation due to medical reason and I was a bit skeptical about my claim settlement. However Travelex Insurance put all my doubts to rest. A claim was submitted because there was a trip interruption during the cruise in that a port of call was not fulfilled due to weather, a valid condition. Travelex did not honor the claim basically saying that the cruise itself was not interrupted. However, we would not have incurred this additional expense for this port if it were not originally listed in the itinerary. I thought I had appropriate protection coverage only to find out this was not the case. BUYER BEWARE!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!

4. arrangements cancelled by an airline, cruise line, motor coach company or tour operator, resulting from inclement weather, mechanical breakdown or organized labor strikes that affect public transportation.
Missed Cruise Connection Benefit:
We will reimburse you for Covered Expenses, up to the amount shown in the schedule, should you miss your cruise departure as a result of the cancellation or delay of 3 or more hours of all regularly scheduled airline flights due to inclement weather.
