It is difficult to review the insurance because it did not have to get used. Sure, it was easy enough to buy and "seemed" to have most of what I was looking for but the true test would have come if I had to use it? How much red tape and resistance would I have encountered? Would there have been "fine print" exceptions that negated support that I assumed I had? How long would I have had to wait for financial reimbursement? Not being able to answer those questions leaves it very difficult to thoroughly and accurately assess the policy I purchased.

We felt safely covered while on our trip to Europe. I only wish a stolen or lost cell phone was covered on our plan as this was our only incident. The cost of the plan for two seemed reasonable. I would use Generali again.

Due to Covid-19 Generali twice worked with us in using travel insurance. After the first cruise was canceled the insurance was moved to a second cruise which too was canceled. The policy was once again modified to cover a recent cruise which we were able to complete. Had a great time on the new Celebrity Apex crossing from Europe to Fort Lauderdale.

As stated in our policy documents, our plans only reimburse for non-refundable, pre-paid trip costs if you need to cancel your trip for a covered reason.
