Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection ExactCare Value
I have purchased several times from this company but never had to make a claim so I have no idea how actually valuable buying this insurance is. I just attempted to buy again for another trip but the price went from $49. to $601. Obviously didn't make the purchase and cannot recommend buying this insurance at the new rates. I did find another company to purchase reasonably priced plan.

I was happy with the plan when we bought it, thus the first two items on the survey are positive.
I fell during the trip and called the insurance number. So, I'm in pain with my damaged foot. My last name is unusual (in that not that many people at all have it), and I had the policy number. All I got from the person I was talking to on the international call was that she could not bring up my file if I could not give her the CONFIRMATION number of the policy. So frustrating. I ended the call and fended for myself.

My problem with this insurance is the same I have for all insurances...you pay handsomely for something (hopefully) you didn't end up using. Of course that's what insurance is for--to cover events that COULD happen.

Bought Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection ExactCare Value plan. Actually had a medical emergency. It took a few weeks but the plan processed everything and actually paid 100%, which is a first for me. Couldn't be with a happier outcome given my circumstances.
