I think that a survey of how satisfied one is with coverage would make more sense when one does actually have to use it. I would have no idea how satisfied I would be once I would have to file a claim. I wouldn't recommend your plan when I don't know how you would really respond to a claim. I can tell a friend that the coverage looks reasonable but that's about it.

I developed intestinal disorder and lost 10 pounds but was concerned about the complications related to a hospital visit so I waited until I got home.

Also, the Greek pharmacies were closed during many of the times I was most in need (Imodium) so again did without.

While this was not related to the insurance, it made me realize that I was unable to utilize the coverage.

It was a comfort to know that if the trip was canceled we had a reimbursement policy.

I'll have to think hard about future coverage since there were additional extenuating issues.

I thought the plan was comprehensive, but rather glad I didn't have to use it. I did appreciate getting an email with the details about a week before the trip. I was in another city and did not have the information on hand for the trip. The email provided that for me.

I bought the AXA Gold plan for a trip of a lifetime. We planned the trip a year in advance, and about 3 months before departure I worried about our elderly parents' potential for medical problems that could interfere, so I bought this plan. To my total shock, I was diagnosed with an urgent medical problem a week before departure, and we had to cancel. I filed a claim with AXA, and was pleasantly surprised by their considerate response. They employ very nice representatives to talk to. They paid the claim amount, a big one, promptly. I highly recommend them, and hopefully I will use them again. I strongly recommend getting insurance in general, as you never know what might happen.
