Travel Insurance Reviews for GeoBlue

This is an essential policy for older people traveling abroad. Medicare supplements cover $50,0000, which won’t begin to cover a major illness. Very reasonably priced. Website works great.

I spent three weeks in Japan on business and purchased a plan for medical coverage. Did not end up needing it, but enjoyed the peace of mind knowing I had coverage.

The plan gave me a level of comfort knowing I had coverage, or at least purchased coverage. However, while being in Japan I began to realize that it would not be very easy to go to a suggested provider of services in the event I needed it. Almost all transportation in Japan is by bus, train, etc. I have no idea about the cost of a taxi. I actually didn't even see one. My only point is be aware that getting to a provider will not be as easy as it might seem which means you may (or may not) be responsible for the costs anyway.

Please note, my review is based upon my purchase of insurance only, thankfully I had a safe trip and did not have to use/file an actual clamp. I was pleased with my purchase and have bought insurance from this company on prior trips. Based upon my dealings, yes, I recommend them.

Fortunately our trip did not require any medical care. I was impressed that you provided a list of medical facilities in or near our destinations. we are eligible for Tricare coverage via US military facilities, but the important aspect of the coverage for us is the emergency transportation feature should anything major occur.

Fortunately trip went well and didn't have to file a claim but wouldn't consider an international trip without getting medical insurance coverage. I rely on my credit card built in insurance for the trip but medical is not covered by credit card and more important. GeoBlue had several options of coverage, deductibles, and price. Nice to pick the one that looked best for us.

Didnt use it, but price was reasonable for the coverage offered.

Wish more providers in Tokyo, Japan.

The signup process was easy. I did have one question to which I could not find an answer. When I called, the representative answered my question quickly and efficiently. Thankfully, I did not have to use the insurance overseas, but I would not leave the US without it.
