Initially paid for coverage. Then realized I was over insured as husband had paid for refundable airfare. Called to cancel since it was still within the trial window. Was advised they could offer same coverage but for lower amount and then refund me the difference with a paper check. Got the check a week or two later. Didn’t have to file claim. Did have to wait a long time to talk with an agent but they had a in queue call back system.

We fortunately did not have to use this insurance plan. It was required by our travel agent. So we either threw away $250 or it was $250 well spent.

No claim submitted and that is the true test, but it was a good price for the things we wanted covered in the plan for the most part. We were happy with them for this purpose.

I can only say that the plan pretty much offered what I wanted at a fairly reasonable plan. I am happy that I didn't have to file a claim, but it was reassuring to have the coverage in place.

This is the second time I have used the Travelex Basic Travel plan to insure my trip. Neither time did I need to use it, but it gave me piece of mind. It was considerably less expensive than the plan being offered with the tour I purchased. I will probably use it again for my next trip.

My only concern, would be in the filing process, should I have to file a claim. Email, paperwork involved, etc. I mean, how easy or seamless is the process? Getting ill is one thing, but then dealing with the process, paperwork, is quite another. That’s where it really boils down to, is the process, how seamless a process is this really?
