I clearly did not read the details carefully. This plan was really a health and medical plan, not a comprehensive one. I experienced a trip delay related to a missed connection and customer service was very unhelpful. First rep told me it was only applicable in case of disaster, such as fire. Second rep asked for all kinds of documentation I couldn’t figure out how to get. This is the first bad experience I have had with an InsureMyTrip purchase

Thank you for your review. The premiums are based on the age of the travelers and the length of the trip. Unfortunately, as travelers get older, it does cause the insurance premiums to increase. This plan was inexpensive and easy to set up. My husband severely fractured his wrist in Mexico, and it has cost us almost $30,000 in surgeries ($24000 in Mexico and $5000 since returning). HCC has already paid all of the expenses that were not covered by our primary insurance since returning, and has promised to pay anything that our primary insurance does not pay from Mexico (if/when they decide). Jennifer, our case manager, has been fantastic.

Needed a last minute plan for medical coverage only since we already arrived at the port for the cruise. Easy and simple to purchase. A good peace of mind since we saw another person on the ship get evacuated at one of the ports in Mexico due to a heart attack. We hoped and prayed that they were ok and they had insurance. Medical care and flight to mainland US could be as high as $100,000 dollars.
