Fortunately, I did not need to utilize the travel insurance, but it was comforting to know I had it, especially since there was an attempted assassination and a Global Airline outage while I was away.

An incident occurred at the hotel one day prior to our embarkation. Security people knocked on our door stating that they received a call stating I had requested an ambulance--which I had not. Someone had obtained my info and telephone. I think travel agents should know about this. An investigation is in process about this scam.

We didn't need to make a claim but it was close - friends on our river cruise tested positive for Covid and had to stay in Europe - trip insurance is a must these days

Fortunately, I didn't need to file a claim, but I was so thankful to have the insurance in case I did. Mary Ellen was wonderful with helping me understand what coverage I needed for my trip overseas. In the age of covid, this plan was reasonably priced and gave me peace of mind for my trip in case I had difficulty getting back home.
