When you purchase travel insurance and never need to use it, that’s great. Therefore the insurance was excellent. My concern is how good the insurance would have been if it was actually needed. Therefore rating insurance without ever filing a claim is very subjective.

they lost my bag and walker in l.a. .was in china over week and .iam getting the run around on my to fileing my claim.i had to buy all my thing in china and meds. did not have my size.

I ultimately didn't need to file a claim with April, even though I needed medical attention in China. This was because medical care is so cheap there, that it was cheaper than my deductible. But before I sought medical attention, I had varied experience of contacting April to notify them that I needed to go to hospital and to see if a flight home would be covered if necessary. Since I had no landline phone access and prohibitively expensive calls from my cell, I texted my wife in the US and asked her to call April. The first guy she talked to (on the weekend, off hours) was apparently really helpful, but she needed to call back during working hours to get more answers and got a really aggressive, nasty woman who berated her for calling on my behalf, even after my wife explained the cost issues, and the fact that my current state didn't allow me to wait around for 30 mins on hold to speak to someone. So my experience with April was mixed: one nice worker, one thoroughly nasty worker.
