Travel Insurance Reviews for International Medical Group

Had I not already purchased this plan for our rescheduled trip in October to Italy (previously scheduled in May '24) I would not have purchased from IMG and will never purchase from IMG again.
My traveling companions from our May trip - canceled in March- still have not received their full refund of covered expenses (only $1246 total) and are continually being told by IMG that they have no claim or the check is being processed and it could take 90 days. It took me 6 months to get my reimbursement as well as my mom. They are a complete disaster and if it wasn't for me finally getting Insure My Trip involved we would probably still be fighting for our money. As it is they are still dragging their feet even though they admit they have to pay the claim. They are unorganized, slow, and unethical.
Their internal communication system is not cohesive and the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. Absolute worst and I recommend you seriously consider lowering their rating with your company.

Fortunately we did not have to use it, but isn’t that what insurance is all about? You want to be covered just in case but you hope you don’t need it

I liked that the plan sent us all the materials we needed to print a few days before the trip. It made it easier to prepare.

Although it was expensive, I felt reassured that while traveling internationally my needs were all covered.

I have not had to file a claim for a trip yet which is a good thing so I can’t comment on that area. It is nice knowing that if you do have issues on your trip you have this coverage, especially if there is a medical issue.

Thankfully, I had no need to submit a claim against the insurance. Having the coverage, gave me peace of mind that I was covered in the event I need it. You never know when you’re going to need the coverage. One lady on our trip broke her leg on the second day and had to leave the cruise to have it surgically repaired. I hope she had insurance.

I did not need to submit a claim, however I felt confident that everything I needed was covered. The coverage was explained well, and I really appreciated the ease of changing / adding additional items (days, hotels, etc.) as we continued to plan. The agents at Insuremytrip we extremely helpful and knowledgeable, always easy to contact, and explained everything well. There was never any pressure and all questions were always answered.
