I found comparable coverage elsewhere at a lower cost. Your company should offer a lower cost option for just basic coverage. Next time I will buy the basic plan directly from the cruise line, not from you. It was $45 cheaper :-(

The only frustration was when we thought we had to submit a claim for lost luggage and was directed to another website. When attempting to input the dollar amount of each item lost, you were unable to just type in the amount. Instead, I had to sit at the computer and repeatedly tap and hold down the key because the dollar amount would only register ONE PENNY at a time. This is ridiculous, time consuming and unnecessary in this day and age of technology. Other than that it was okay.

The documents required to provide proof of payment trail was overboard. Coverage for Covid related expenses was greatly insufficient. However, review and response was faster than I was initially informed.

I found claim approval to be excessive. My wife was unable to travel due to an injury, and we provided the doctor letter, indicating she could not travel. I went through the effort to get a refund from the airline on my own (thus saving Nationwide money). My claim to Nationwide was for only small advance trip reservations (i.e. museum tickets for my wife) that could not be refunded. My claim material was very well organized & documented, including the doctor letter proving she could not travel. Despite this, Nationwide required me to provide evidence that she was not on the final flight confirmation, plus evidence that I received the flight refund (which I didn't even include on the Nationwide claim!). This required my time to locate numerous documents and resubmit the claim... which I felt was totally unnecessary.

Once purchased, travel insurance is something I tend to forget about until needed. So far, another trip without cause to use insurance. I'm okay with that. Good travels everyone!

Difficult to rate the insurance since I didn't have to make a claim (thank goodness). All trip insurance is expensive until there is a need to use it and then it is a godsend (especially evacuation!)
