I routinely buy travel insurance but this is only my second claim in 10 years! My luggage was delayed 3 days.
After I emailed the company for directions, submitting the claim online (with scanned docs) was easy, and I was never asked to re-send anything. The only curious thing is, since this was a policy insuring two people, my baggage loss claim was split between my husband and me. Half the claim arrived 2.5 weeks before the other one, which caused initial confusion on my part and a concerned call to the agency. It would have been helpful to receive an explanation with the first check that the second half was on its way - or having two checks in the same envelope would have been a good idea!
Either way, it's done now, and I am happy with the answers I got on the phone while we were in New Zealand as well as with the smoothness of the online claims procedure. I will buy from this company again.

I initiated a call to your office, January 19, to find out what was happening with my claim. I gather from the person I spoke with that my paperwork was received on January 8, that a letter of denial was available on January 15 and still sitting in your office on January 19. Finally I called and only after I said I had not heard anything, did they tell me a letter had been written several, days prior, was actually sitting in their office, and would be sent...another two weeks went by. The exact same thing happened when I sent the letter of appeal...no letter at all in response..I called and they said they had denied the appeal but still today I have not received a letter stating the reason why. I will never use Insure my Trip/Seven Corners again nor advise my clients to do so...a terrible lack of communication, not once but twice.

Had to appeal original decision to not fully pay for my claim. Insure My Trip intervened and got my full amount. 5 stars to InsureMyTrip and 2 stars to John Hancock Insurance Agency.

Have purchased travel insurance many times through InsureMyTrip, but this was the first time I needed to file a claim. We were unable to take a trip because I broke my arm, and when we contacted the insurer they promptly sent the needed forms via email. Once completed, we were able to scan and email the documents back, and they promptly confirmed receipt. Processing time was estimated at 3 weeks, but the check for the full amount arrived before then. Absolutely no complaints, and I will not hesitate to purchase a similar insurance plan from John Hancock in the future.

Because of illness, we had to cancel our trip to Denmark and the cruise associated with it. We downloaded the claim form, had our doctor's fill out the appropriate information and submitted the claim. The insurance company said it would take 3 weeks to process, and almost to the day, we received a check covering the full cost of out of pocket expenses and cancellation charges. There were no problems with the claim process and we are very satisfied. We would definitely use this plan again on future trips.

Had to postpone the trip due to a family death, we got reimbursed for airline change fees and lost deposit on a rental property. After just one call the claim forms were emailed to us. The forms were easy to complete, and the claim was paid in just under 30 days. Well worth the price paid for the plan.
