Early in August, I filed a claim for slightly less than $200 and submitted all necessary supporting materials. To date (Oct 3), I've received no information on the claim from GeoBlue. When I looked up the claim via the internet, the claim file indicated that the amount claimed was subject to a deductible, hence no payment. I was unaware of a deductible, but that's on me. What I don't like is the utter lack of communication.

Thanks for your review! Your deductible is listed under the “plan details” prior to checkout. If you ever have any questions about the benefits your GeoBlue policy has to offer, please reach out to our customer service team at 855-481-6647.
I did not file a claim so I have no way of knowing whether the coverage was good or not. I don't even know if I was covered for anything. That is my fault. I should have called when I couldn't find the answers in the policy. A better explanation of "Primary Coverage Required" would be appreciated.

This is a good opportunity for us to advise you that detailed information is available to you within the quote. You can click on "View Certificate" to read through the entire plan or you can click on "Primary Coverage Required" to be directed right to that section of the policy.
The GeoBlue Voyager Choice plan only allows travelers with primary health insurance in the United States to purchase the policy. The Underwriters define a Primary Plan as a Group Health Benefit Plan, an individual health benefit plan, or certain governmental health plan (including Medicare Supplements and Medicare Advantage plans) designed to be the first payor of claims for an Insured Person prior to the responsibility of this Plan. Although Medicare does qualify as primary coverage, Medicaid and Veterans Administration health benefit plans do not.
