This insurance plan gave me peace of mind for our 45 day trip to Europe this summer. Luckily, we had no troubles and didn't have to make a claim. For a small cost, we were sure that in the event of something unexpected, we would have no worries. I highly recommend this company.

We always carry insurance for our trips to Italy and we have always used Insure My Trip. We know the price of insurance goes up every year, and we regret this fact of life.

Although I didn't need to file a claim, my experience with purchasing the policy was very positive. I had questions and they were answered as I was trying to purchase the policy so that I got and understood my coverage. Immediately upon purchasing I received an email with the actual policy enclosed. I will definitely be using Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection ExactCare Value for my future travels.

Wish they had different insurance coverage for a trip by car. There are too many items which don’t apply for our car vacation. Less options may be able to reduce the price for one’s trip. It’s great to know your trip is insured.

    No matter how you are traveling, if any of your trip has prepaid, non-refundable components, you should consider a Comprehensive plan for road trip travel insurance. You will want driveway-to-driveway coverage which starts the minute you leave your driveway and not the day you check in to your hotel including coverage in the event of road trip delays that you don't expect especially if you are traveling to a remote area which may only be accessible by one road. We also suggest that you check with your health insurance provider to see how your coverage would work when you are traveling outside your home town.

    Please note that not all Comprehensive plans provide the appropriate coverage for road travel insurance. Since coverage does vary between plans, we recommend that you call us at 800-487-4722 for guidance in selecting and purchasing the appropriate plan.
