Our trip was interrupted by a flight cancellation which threatened our ability to reach the start of our scuba liveaboard dive boat. Fortunately, we secured another flight, at an increased cost, and were able to make our cruise. The insurance would not cover the increase in cost which made us realize that the coverage was not what we expected. We now realize that if we had not gotten a substitute flight at an increased cost, we would have not been reimbursed for our liveaboard cruise which was the most expensive portion of our trip -- this is what we actually wanted covered by the insurance. Very disappointing and we will not purchase travel insurance again except for, and through, our medical provider and for medical coverage only. Paying over $1k for this insurance and not having protection against an airline cancellation is frustrating. Yes, if we understood all the details beforehand we would have known this ahead of time, but that was not the case. I am sure that is true for most purchasers.

I would highly recommend this insurance option. I am so grateful I had it and there were earthquakes in Indonesia while I was there thank goodness very far from where I was staying. I had no need to file a claim at all. I know I will be back in Bali and I will always use this. Thank you.

I did not have to use the travel protection, but did speak with them while marooned on an island in indonesia, stranded by the explosion of a nearby volcano. The agents I spoke with were cheery and helpful, offered to assist in any way possible, had their travel agent map out alternate transportation home, and called me back when my phone connection disappeared. Just speaking with them was reassuring. I ended up making it to my original flight so didn't have to reschedule anything.

We had to cancel the trip due to a medical reason. The claim processing was very easy and seamless. Got the check within 2 weeks. The rep even called to alert us that the check was in the mail. Awesome service!
