You really never know how good or bad trip insurance is until you need to make a claim. We made a claim for travel interruption and AIG Travel was a pleasure to work with. They were responsive and attending to all of our requests. We we fully reimbursed for our expenses within a couple of weeks after we submitted the supporting documentation.

the plan was very reasonable and easy to purchase. i received a certificate with the information by email. i would definitely buy again. i can't say how fast payment was because thank goodness nothing on my trip went wrong!

It is really impossible to evaluate a plan if a claim is never made. So any ratings only reflect my belief that it would cover my needs not that it did. I could not recommend it w/o actual knowledge.

I had a claim filed. The claim has now been rejected because delayed luggage by a unionized baggage handler is not covered. This resulted in a missed connection whereby another ticket had to be purchased on a different airline. No reimbursement for the additional ticket.
