No flexibility with the trip time. I didn't know how long I'm going to stay ahead of time, so in the end I've returned 11 days earlier without any way to recover $ for those unused days.

My husband dued in a small hospital in a jungle town in Peru. Since it was not "in network" and a very unsophisticated place, i ended up paying for everything in cash, including treatment, diagnostic, medication and documents. I contacted you before he died. You were utterly useless.
I am still in Peru trying to get the body out and home . He died on friday, this is tuesday and it is a byzantine system that is endless bureaucracy and forms, i have no interest intalking to your representative until i and the remains are safely home.
This is an addendum to earlier review. HTH eventually paid for the three hours my husband spent in s hospital emergency room . But know this: Do not die of natural causes. Your death benefit of $50,000 does not apply. It is a massive loophole in the policy.

As the traveler indicated, the 50,000 USD death benefit is for 24 Hour Accidental Death only. Travel Insurance plans do not offer life insurance benefits for sickness or illness.Apr 05,2017

I didn't use the travel insurance, but it was good to know it was there if I really needed it. I received multiple emails and got my paperwork in a timely manner. I would recommend this to anyone else who is considering a travel insurance plan.

I'm glad I bought this policy, though I didn't use it. My trip to India went great without any medical or emergency issues. But having this policy was a good fall-back assurance. I applaud one provision of the policy in particular. That's the provision relating to the pre-existing conditions, - the clause was sudden onset. Other policies in the HTH price range didn't offer such a provision. I'm glad I didn't have to use the policy, but it was a great assurance that if a pre-existing condition flared up, I was covered. Thank you.
