According to them the only thing that's covered is if you drop dead or immediate family member drops dead for trip interruption. My trip was interrupted to unforeseen medical emergency that prolonged my trip for me and had to stay in Mexico to released by doctor. When I call them the guide me they basically said too bad so sad. On a recorded line supposedly. So don't get fooled by what you read that they cover cuz they don't it's a scam . Do your homework before you purchase.

Process to get coverage was quick and efficient. I did this last minute - the day before I left. I wish I could remember the name of the customer service representative who helped me. Kudos to her. She made it so easy, and her follow through was excellent. Customer service like that is a pleasure and a rarity these days.

I have always used trip insurance when flying out of the country. It was reasonable for both my husband and myself, and it now covers terrorism. Since I was going to Mexico that was actually comforting even though I was going to an area that did not really have a problem.

You never know how good an insurance is until you use it. Fortunately I did not have to use it. So I cannot comment on anything but the purchase of the policy and reasonableness of cost which were both fine
