Fortunately we did not need to submit a claim but there were some close calls with delayed flights and a suitcase lagged behind on our trip home but found its way the next day and was delivered to our door.
I did recommend this policy to my sister for a cruise/airline trip and she did need to submit a claim and was very satisfied with the service she received-- which made me feel very good.

The insurance was not executed, so I cannot comment on its viability. However, the original trip was postponed by the tour provider. After a quick conversation with this insurer, I was able to use this policy for a future trip that was over a year away.

We experienced a travel delay of a week while in the UK and a new itinerary that involved a new plane flight. Our car rental for that week was not covered, but meals and lodging and new flight and missed nonrefundable lodging were covered. It took several months to resolve the claim and then paid promptly.

A friend had the same plan and had to cancel their trip for medical reasons. AIG has given them the run a round for months. I would never use AIG based on their experience alone.
