My review is totally meaningless because I didn’t need any assistance or file any claim. The policy was easy to purchase, but its service is untested. I must assume the service is good.

The industry standard is for travel insurance providers to offer the pre-existing condition waiver if you purchase their policy within 10 to 21 days (depending on plan) of your initial trip payment. There are some exceptions such as the Nationwide Mutual Choice or Luxury Cruise plans which go by final payment:
"The Pre-Existing Conditions exclusion is waived if the Insured (a) enrolls in this Policy within Final Trip payment; (b) purchases this Policy for the full cost of his or her Trip; and (c) is medically able to travel at the time the premium is paid."
Unfortunately you purchased this Choice Cruise plan on 01/29/2019 which was the day after you made your final payment, so you did not qualify for the Pre-Existing Conditions Waiver.

Although we never had cause to file a claim, we felt more secure and comfortable traveling for 3 weeks knowing we had reliable insurance coverage. We used insuremytrip in the past and filed a claim at the last minute for health reasons, and were reimbursed the full amount paid for our trip. I've recommended insuremytrip to friends because of the many options available.
