Purchasing travel insurance gives peace of mind if any issue arise during your holiday. We did file a claim in December 2023 when our flight to Europe was delayed due to snow. The claim was handled with care and reimbursement was made quickly and efficiently.

Cannot comment on the coverage because we did not have to use it. Happy about that. But, the cost and the company's rating were the reason I picked them. So much better than the insurance offered through my travel agent.

We had a hiccup during planning that resulted in a date change. That was easily resolved. We then feared another issue as flights were delayed and the possibility existed for dominoes to fall. We were relieved to know we had the coverage. One of the passengers on our trip had a health scare that required departure from the group. That solidified for us the value of having the insurance. Thank you.

I called for emergency assistance (24001140094) on August 5th at 10pm as a group of us were left standing at the JFK AA gate and missed our 5:30pm flight. We were put on standby for 11pm after waiting at AA customer service for 3 hours. Never made the 11pm flight. AA gave no vouchers. I was sent hotel info from Generali. Later Generali sent me a strange (24001140094) invoice for a Train to somewhere???
As I sent a note to Generali on August 9th, I could not provide receipts for what was planned by another couple. I keep getting canned notes back to send receipts. I guess there are no workarounds or a person to help with my situation.

The coverage offered was very thorough and all of the coverage I needed was included for a fair price. So I am happy with the price I paid for the coverage I received. Since I did not file a claim, which is a good thing as I had NO travel issues, I can not comment on their customer service and how well they respond to filing a claim and how well they pay out on the promised coverage. I will use them in the future.

Fortunately, we did not need to file a claim! Therefore, I can't comment on how they would handle a claim. But we had peace of mind knowing that we had coverage for the various parts of our trip.
