Always travel with travel insurance which I have never had to used until this cruise. On this cruise I fell off the ship and had to have 4 stitches. My disappointment with this policy is that it did not cover eye glasses. My eye glasses were severely damaged during the fall and had to be replaced. Good thing I always travel with an extra pair of glasses.
It only took several weeks after submitting the paperwork to get reimbursement. Was able to submit electronically.

I purchased for two main reasons.....in case I needed to cancel the trip as I was travelling during hurricane season and because of the medical benefits in addition to my regular health insurance especially if I needed to be take to a hospital for a medical emergency. Thankfully neither of these occurred but for the price I paid it definitely gave us some peace of mind. I felt the price as very reasonable for the benefits provided.

I've never had to file a claim yet but it always gives me peace of mind to know it's there if I need it. Plus it is more reasonably priced than what is offered by the travel agency or cruise line.
I was sick several years ago with the flu and went on my cruise anyway because I did not have Insurance.

I had a foot injury. My doctor told me I would be ok to travel but I was a little apprehensive. I called to discuss my options and the agent reassured me that the company would stand behind me. I wasn't sure I would be able to go and the agent said I had time, to give my injury some time and see how I'd feel - there was no pressure just true compassion. I did go, and had a wonderful time...but it was nice to know someone had my back.
