We had several medical claims for illnesses during our cruise. I submitted the claims two months ago and waited three weeks for International Medical Group to respond, at which time they demanded more documentation. The requested additional documents were identical for all of the claims, so I submitted them all together. After another month-long delay, IMG now has summarily denied one of the claims, referring in an email to an attached letter explaining the reason, but there was no letter attached to the email. IMG's website doesn't list all of our claims, so I don't even know which claim was denied. I still haven't heard about the remaining claims. IMG makes it easy to pay for the policy, but submitting the claims and jumping through the ridiculously bureaucratic claim process has been extraordinarily cumbersome and opaque.

I have purchased this particular plan for several different trips. When I fill in the parameters that matter to me for travel insurance, IMG LX invariably surfaces as the best choice, and at a competitive price, too. If I ever do have to file a claim, I hope we would be well-covered and well-treated by IMG.

Fortunately we did not need to put in any claims. The policy was robust and gave us peace of mind knowing that if there were COVID issues we would have had coverage for the expenses.
