I am over 70 in excellent health but realized the significant limitations of coverage by my Medicare Supplementary G plan when traveling outside USA. I don't need the full travel insurance type policy and was only looking for supplementary health coverage. I used "insuremytrip" website to check out alternative policies and coverage.

The brief description stated lost luggage but it did not include stolen luggage. That was a huge disappointment since many plans cover stolen luggage and this policy does not. We had our luggage stolen but cannot file a claim.

I’m not sure I can give a fair review, since I (fortunately) didn’t need to use the insurance. It was easy to select a plan that appeared to offer coverage I might need. It was nice to have piece of mind that I at least had some coverage while abroad, and the price was great.

The claims process was very slow. I filed a claim on Dec 22, 2017 and it was finally paid on March 15, 2018. Otherwise, the process was fine.

The coverage provided on this policy for baggage is only in the event your common carrier is responsible for losing your luggage. The policy states: "Subject to the limits set forth in the Schedule of Benefits/Limits, the Company will reimburse the Insured Person for the cost of lost checked luggage when such luggage was permanently lost in transit by a Common Carrier during the Period of Coverage"
