Everything was peaches and cream when the sales rep (Melissa) was taking my credit card for the full payment on day one. Of course, I wanted to take this trip, or I would not have booked it in the first place! When I developed severe medical issues that were well documented by two licensed physicians, I had to cancel any travel plans. When I filed my claim, IMG immediately began interrogating me like a hardened criminal! After more letters and forms completed by the doctors, they still spoke to me like I was lying to them!! They said that they usually took 30-45 days to review all claims. My case was documented, truthful and accurate……but they acted like if they ignore me long enough I might drop it and just go away. Only after weeks of my persistence, the claim was approved and THEN I was told it would be Two Weeks before they might pay me! Not a nice company to deal with!

Never before have I felt comfortable traveling as I did recently on my trip to Iceland and seven other countries! I did not have a worry about the "what ifs" and thoroughly enjoyed traveling in the various countries.
I will never travel again in foreign countries without this insurance.

Bought trip insurance in May for wife and i for a 8/4/18 trip. Had to cancel 48 hours before leaving due to my wife injury. Took 48 days and more then 24 contacts after filing to get paid - usual response - "working on it, will expedite, will call you back (8 times, never did), claim approved and will be paid in 1-3 days ( on day 32) , claim size large takes longer, back office very busy to respond, etc."
Only after contacting InsuremyTrip (IMT) on day 42 did things start to move at IMG and a check was mailed 6 days later.
Stay away from IMG. Insuremytrip staff were very helpful and responsive but they should remove IMG from their offer lit.

Although it may have taken more than 42 days to respond, we are glad to hear that you received your check. Unfortunately, International Medical Group, as with many other travel providers, have a lengthier turnaround time during hurricane season in processing claims.

The purchase was easy with all questions answered by a competent representative. Everything clearly explained. We did not have a claim, but the purchase of this plan put us at ease And without worry as we traveled with a family of four.
