This was the first time I purchase travel insurance. Even though everything went well and I didn't need to use the insurance, I will still purchase it again.

I did not need to submit a claim as my trip to Thailand was smooth and delightful. However, the insurance certificate issued by the insurance company literally saved my trip. When I got to the Qatar Airways check-in counter on the first leg of the trip, I was told that I needed $100,000 medical coverage to enter the country. I knew that wasn't true; I'd been following Thailand's official travel requirements website for months. When I bought the airline tickets several months ago, Thailand had just dropped their requirement to $20,000 medical insurance and I purchased that amount from the government website. Later, they reduced it to $10,000, and that's where it was when I started my travels. I couldn't argue with the Qatar Airways counter rep; she would have just denied my ticket because that was her official information. Because I purchased full trip coverage through insuremytrip and I carried with me the IMG certificate of insurance, I could prove that I had $250,000 medical coverage. What a relief! That situation has never happened to me before, but I've never traveled to Southeast Asia during Covid restrictions before. Always carry your certificate of insurance in a handy place on your travels!

Easy to purchase and comprehensive plan.

Seemed to be a good plan.
I thought price was high, although it was fairly comprehensive.
No idea how they handle claims, as thankfully we didn't have issues.

I purchased the policy in February for travel in Sept. and Oct. My travel plan took me through Hong Kong which, in the intervening weeks, had serious rioting including incidents at the HK airport. I had a question about my insurance coverage and contacted your representative for clarification in the event the riots caused a cancellation of my trip. I was advised that my policy provided for such an event. Further, IMG said they were closely monitoring the situation and were in contact with people in HK. They assured me that, in their estimation, my travel plan should not be delayed or interrupted and I had sufficient coverage in the policy. It gave me piece of mind and my trip went off without a hitch.

Did not need to file a claim, but glad I had the protection.
