So much distrust with this type of insurance. I was hopeful at best that you would even cover what we thought might be a claim that should be covered. And I don't think it was clear enough what exactly would be covered when purchasing or even after reading the policy. I just wanted to be covered if me or my kid got sick the night before the trip.

I chose Berkshire Hathaway because I'm a fan of George Soros. I'm satisfied with the product I received.

Great plan for the possibility of delayed of bumped flights that might negate your trip (like making a meeting or memorial that is time sensitive) - a common possibility lately. A 5 hour delay would have made it impossible to make my time schedule. That and the price were my deciding factors on policy.

The protection plan was expensive, fortunately I didn't need to use it, but the peace of mind it gave me made it worth the price.

Happy I didn't need to use it, but I felt the cost for the potential coverage was reasonable for the peace of mind, given that many hotels and attractions require full, non-refundable payment in advance, and the uncertainty associated with covid, elderly relatives, etc.

Unfortunately my flight was canceled 5 days prior to the trip & I was fully reimbursed for the ticket. Had to drive to my destination.

It's hard to say too much, as we ended up not needing any of the coverage. I got a few reminders about the policy, and what info I'd need to file a claim should the need arise, before our trip, which was appreciated. The price seemed better than the competitors, so I guess it was fair.
