Although we didn't need to file any claims, we were confident during our trip that we were covered for any incidents that may of come up. The trip insurance was worth the peace of mind.

I have Medicare and wanted coverage for a trip to Canada. It's tough to evaluate a product when you never used it. I was buying peace of mind and I got that, so I got what I paid for,

Had to cancel a trip to Canada at the last minute because of illness. My travel companion and I both had separate policies to cover our trip and we filed our claims together. It took about 5 - 6 weeks for our claims to be processed but we were advised in the interim that there would be a delay due to a high number of claims. All of our lost money was refunded in full by check - plus with interest. We were careful to follow instructions and provide all the requested information and nothing was questioned. We were 100% satisfied and would buy this plan again.

No flexibility with the trip time. I didn't know how long I'm going to stay ahead of time, so in the end I've returned 11 days earlier without any way to recover $ for those unused days.

The cost of insurance appears high given the short period of risk. We primarily purchase the insurance for medical coverage and medical evacuation while out of the country. It would be nice if insurers provided more flexibility in what an insured purchaser can select for coverage instead of having to buy preset coverage.

Since you purchased your plan on 8/2/2016 for a trip scheduled to depart on 8/4/2016, there would not have been enough time to mail your ID cards. However, you would have received by email within 15 minutes of purchasing the policy enough information to contact the 24 hour emergency assistance center.

On the date that you purchased the policy, HTH Worldwide sent you an email saying:
"Thank you for choosing the TravelGap Excursion insurance plan. If you have not already done so, you can print your ID card, which includes our emergency assistance phone numbers, your certificate of insurance, your proof of medical coverage for a consulate and other important welcome materials immediately when you register at Member Services or visit www.hthtravelinsurance.com."
Apparently you did not read this email in full so that you did not follow through to print your documents and ID card. In the future, if you do not receive information in a timely manner, please give us a call so we can advise you before you leave on your trip.
