This was one of the rare trips where we did need to file a claim, due to a cancelled flight. Once we submitted the paperwork and documentation, AIG processed and paid the claim pretty quickly without squawking about it. So experience with the policy was good and smooth.

Returning customer. Very satisfied with agent assistance making my policy selection for a week long Canadian canoe trip with 2 grandsons. Itinerary changes were accommodated. Didn't need to use any covered services, but had the peace of mind that coverage was there if needed. I have had better success calling in to make a policy selection than trying to do so online over the years. Thank you.

We filed a claim after our infant daughter became ill on the eve of travel and we had to cancel the trip. AIG covered our claim, which was for non refundable lodging and the airline cancellation fee. Overall I was satisfied with the experience. My only complaints were that it took 2.5 months for the claim to be processed- I’m guessing part of this delay was due to the COVID pandemic, though. The other issue was that I did not receive any communication about the claim until I received a check in the mail. I did periodically check their website, but it would have been nice to get an email once the claim was approved. Overall, though, it was a fine experience and I would use it again.

Fortunately we did not need to use this insurance. I always cover our trips with this plan since we are on Medicare and it doesn't cover anything outside of the US.

Favorable outcome 3 weeks after filing claim. Using the web form was a complete waste of time. Form claimed multiple file types accepted but only pdf uploaded. Also the file size was inadequate to document the claim. Suggest ignoring the web based form as it is a misdirection. Instead, call an agent like it is the year 1995 and you can the file via email using files of acceptable size.
Once I did this, AIG reimbursed all I requested
