We purchased coverage mostly for medical evacuation coverage and any trip interruptions. Since nothing happened, I can't really say how good the coverage was. But it did give us peace of mind.

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Essential
After realizing that a passenger on our cruise had a medical emergency and had to have emergency surgery at one of the ports, having Nationwide Mutual Insurance gave me peace of mind knowing this can happen at any time. I know that medical evacuation is expensive and would not want to be stuck with that bill. The cost out weighs the risk.

I will never *not* get travel insurance. We had a Covid scare [possible exposure] shortly before leaving town; also, we missed one connection (which, oddly, got us a reduced fare). So while I never had to file a claim, I sure slept better knowing we could have.
