I realized just before leaving for the trip that the travel date had changed. I contacted a representative and the date was corrected immmediately. I travelled without concern about any loss, damage or injury and had a wonderful trip.

I did not need to submit a claim. However, unexpected health problem occurred and I thought that I might have to cancel. The problem resolved itself before our departure, so no claim was needed. However, it was very reassuring to know that I would not have a total financial loss if I’d had to cancel the trip.

Getting Type A Influenza in a foreign country after a cruise is not fun! Nationwide's online claim form is wonky, but they did reimburse me after I sent in all of the information required. Their 24-hour emergency line representative was very helpful in explaining exactly what I needed to do in order to file a claim. My health insurance paid for the medical bills and Nationwide reimbursed me for my replacement airline ticket and the extended hotel stay for 3 nights.
