At the end of the day, it was a fine policy. Since I didn't utilize it, Thank God for that, I can't really say just how good it really was in all other factors which would have been the most important part, of course- the actual coverage of everything and the actual response of the company to my actual needs . I felt it was too high a price but couldn't find anything else that met my criteria of $250,000 medical coverage...

I got full coverage. Trip interrupted because China officials would not approve our visit, forcing us to divert trip with 2 extra days in hotel and change air plans with loss flights. We were told this is not covered. Such a problem is not specified as yes or no, and I feel this is a way it of paying for something I should have been reimbursed for.

Ultimately, the plan covered what it was supposed to. It took three months of resubmitting documents repeatedly to finally get the claim solved. I would not go out of my way to insure with AXA as dealing with the claim process was not satisfying or timely. We are glad that in the end, they did cover the entire claim.

I am very happy with the plan and the cost. Although I (forunately) did not need to file any claims this trip, I did file a claim last trip for lost luggage. After submitting receipts and documentation, my claim was paid quickly and the staff was polite and helpful through the process. I will definitely use the plan for future trips.

Comprehensive plans are designed to cover as many risks as possible, but is very rare for any insurance plan to cover all possible risks. The AXA Assistance USA Platinum plan is a Comprehensive plan which covers a wide range of perils and hazards for Travel Delay and Trip Interruption.
