Our trip to Peru was cancelled because of the violence and destruction to the runways and transportation within the country. Our own country advised not to travel to this destination until the situation was safe. We were denied a refund and were only given a credit for future travel. I spent nearly $1,000.00 on the insurance. Even our travel agent in Peru gave us a 100% refund and I would use them again. I would not use this company and the travel agent even recommended Imsuremy trip. Extremely disappointed.

It was comforting to know I had the coverage in case I needed it. The most important part of the coverage for me is 'medical evacuation' as I do not want to be stuck in a foreign country with a serious medical issue. Before my trip I requested they extend my coverage from 21 days to 23 days which they did without additional charge.

AXA plans seem reasonably priced in comparison to others on the market, but prices for travel insurance are unreasonably high for seniors across the board.

We are low risk and I think you should ask more question so that people who are frail, inexperienced travelers or doing high risk activities would pay more than experienced, healthy and normal travelers.

You never know how good a plan is until you have to use it. For all intents and purposes it covered my needs, but without needing to file a claim I don't know how user-friendly the company is. I've used other companies that nitpick the fine print, but didn't discover that until I had a claim. Price seemed reasonable for the coverage,

I had to cancel my trip due to hurricane Matthew. AXA quickly and efficiently processed my claim and refunded all appropriate expenses.
