Travel Insurance Reviews for Nationwide Prime

I appreciated email reminders about my trip coming up. Because of Covid requirements our group trip was rescheduled. I was able to change the date for my insurance coverage as well as add additional coverage for a potential Covid sickness that would require days in a hotel in a foreign country. Thankfully I did not need to fill out a claim, but my traveling companion got Covid and had to stay in a Covid hotel for 5 nights, so it can happen. Thanks for the peace of mind insurance, flexibility and responsiveness to email and voice communications.

Although we thankfully didn’t have to file a claim, the peace of mind was worth every penny. The customer service rep was great at explaining the coverage. Will use this service again!

I did have to see a doctor on Moorea, but he didn't charge me anything. I got better and did not have to cut the trip short.

I had a concern while on travel and emailed a question to customer care. I received a quick and complete response that alleviated my concerns and enabled me to enjoy the rest of my trip.

I was confident and stress free

Everything was covered for the trip but the processed before the trip was kind of annoying. Certain limitations I didn’t like but overall I was satisfied.

Didn’t use it but was very happy to have it for our family trip to mexico in April 2022. Only regret is not buying it sooner as the costs were nearly double when I made the purchase 3 weeks before the trip, but that’s on me.

The insurance was easy to procure and when we needed a letter describing our policy, the representative was helpful and it came in a timely manner.

The only real test of an insurance policy or company is if you need to file a claim, which fortunately we didn’t. An insure my trip agent was very helpful in finding the right policy for me. A heads up: because we had had Covid the agent said it would be considered a pre-existing condition.

I've had great experience with Nationwide for other insurance needs. Thankfully I did not need to use my travel insurance on my recent trip, but I imagine if I had to, Nationwide would have assisted as they always have. Cheers!
