Travel Insurance Reviews for Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection

After looking at a number of other travel insurance plans, Berkshire Hathaway's plan was the most reasonable for the coverage. I mentioned rental car insurance though Berkshire when I picked up my National Rental car and the response was very positive. I'll definitely be using them again for future business trips.

Berkshire Hathaway offered a better value for the money than the other plans I examined. After my purchase, the e-mail follow-ups were excellent, such as confirmation. I made no claim. The most important postings in this forum are where the person had a claim. I looked at those, and I liked what I saw.

Did not have to use the insurance.

I didn't need the plan while I was traveling because everything worked out fine (happily). So I can only credit them on the ease of signing up and the very reasonable cost. I can't comment on whether it's a good plan if you have a problem.

The airline messed up my flight, and I had to pay more money for another airline and the policy wouldn't cover it.

It had all I needed at a good price. Fortunately, I didn't have to use it.

Didn't use [never have on any trip], but the coverage and cost were reasonable. Peace of mind is important.

I didn’t have to make a claim so I can’t speak on that part of the service. What I can say is that I purchased this insurance months ago for my trip and what I liked the best is that right before the trip I received at least two communications reassuring me that the insurance was on my side, that they would take care of me if anything came up. I appreciate that Insure my trip made me feel confident in my purchase. Thank you for doing good business.

My trip was a white water rafting trip on the Salmon River in central Idaho. I drove 325 miles to/from my home to the starting location in McCall, ID. As a result I didn't need coverage for missed flights, lost luggage, etc.
This Berkshire Hathaway plan covered me for trip cancellation and interruption for a very reasonable price. I looked at several other plans which covered many things that didn't apply to me and were much more expense.
