We thankfully didn't need to file a claim this time, but the previous trip we did and we'd had Nationwide. They made submitting all documents very easy. It took a while to pay out the claim, but not really that long in the scheme of things. They also communicated it would take a while to process the claim. We appreciated that and all the other communication we had during the process. It's partly why we picked them again for this trip and another we'll soon have. That and they had the best price and coverage we wanted. We will now always shop them first for our travel insurance needs.

The plan seemed to provide a lot of coverage at reasonable cost. I filed a claim, and it was painful. Just finding who to call took some time and once I engaged with Nationwide's Claim processing arm / partner ([email protected]) things went downhill. The routine gathering od nuisance documentation and requests for more and more documentation (some I was unable to get from cruiseline) had me frustrated but I walked away. Gives me serious thoughts about whether it's worth it to buy ANY insurance other than medical coverage on future cruises (I cruise 2 - 3 times / year).

We have only purchased travel insurance one other time in our traveling history and we travel many times a year. But I was thankful we did this time because of the hurricane season. And of course, a hurricane disrupted our travel. Very glad for the website that helped me find this company/policy.

Didn't have to use the policy but it put us at ease just having it. We did a lot of comparison shopping and the Prime plan was by far the best value. Good communications reminding us to print a copy of the policy and take with us, and provided contact numbers for a variety of scenarios if needed. Would buy it again.
